The Erie Soccer League requires all referees to hold a current USSF license in order to officiate any of our adult matches.
One of our main goals is to develop the adult game in the Erie area. As we continue to evolve as an organization, we expect that many “new referee” candidates will surface from and because of the Erie Soccer League.
In order to become licensed as a USSF referee, you must complete your background checks, complete some “pre-work”, and attend a new referee course. You must register in advance for a referee course – giving yourself enough time to complete all the prerequisites for the course). You can sign up to become a new referee by clicking here.
Reporting
All Erie Soccer League matches that involve incident (injury, yellow card, red card) require a match report from the licensed officiating crew. The referee assignor should have provided each referee with our most current match reports. Alternatively, you can click here to download the 2017 Erie Soccer League official match report.
